I've decided not to continue work on Twitterscape / Lead Balloon, for several reasons, the main one being, lack of public interest in the application. With the twitter client "market" being saturated by a vast variety of twitter clients, getting a foot in the door is quite difficult.
Also recently, I've been doing some web development, and I'm seeing that proper "Web 2.0" web apps can fly compared to a java desktop app, and are alot quicker to develop too!
For example, It took me 3 months to get Twitterscape into a useable program, but this weekend (2 days) I wrote a web based app, complete with lovely graphics that fly onto the screen, that does exactly what Twitterscape does (Twitter, RSS, Podcasts etc)...but all on a web page, and so much faster.
So, keep an eye on my new
'Tweeterscape' page, it will give you everything twitterscape had, but A LOT faster, animated and all-round lovely to use!
