I think the main problem with Windows PCs at the moment, is not viruses, but "Adware" AKA "Spyware" AKA "malware". They're mostly harmless peices of software or registry entries, but when you get alot of them, they can slow your PC down, slow your internet connection, pop up adverts and porn and generally break your PC and in severe cases, stop windows from functioning. Most antivirus packages will not protect you from them, and I can garrantee you've got some on your PC right now (probably), I've just removed 20 items today from my PC, which I regard to be a 'fortress'.

As I am a big fan of free software, I'd like to let you know about "Ad-aware", its free, updates itself with a click of the mouse, is easy to use, and will zap all that malware off your PC within a few minutes....
